Weekly Watercolour Workshops for Improvers

Workshops are in half-termly blocks. Next block: 2nd June to 8th July 2025 (6 weeks). Book one or more workshop at a time, or pre-book 6 upfront for a £20 discount.

In this on-going series of workshops the main aim is to guide participants through the principles and techniques of watercolour painting. My instructional teaching is carefully combined with practical work, such as mini projects and exercises in which we put theory into practice. Amongst the topics covered, you will discover the joy of stretching paper, learn colour theory and how to apply this to your own paintings, and delve into the tricky but fascinating subject of colour mixing.

Helpful hints and tips are always provided, together with step-by-step demonstrations to encourage you to paint with increasing skill and confidence. This approach aims to offer you a balance between learning technique and the freedom to develop your own individual style and original work, using this exciting and challenging medium.
