Expressive Portraits: A One Day Drawing & Painting Workshop

Join me for a fun and creative workshop, where you will explore fresh approaches to drawing and painting the face. No experience in portraiture is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to try something new. During the course of the day, I'll guide you through a variety of simple drawing and painting techniques, to help you experiment with your visual language through mark-making and media exploration. Working from both life and from photographs, you will be encouraged to be bold and free in the process of creating lively and expressive portraits that truly capture the essence of your subject. The workshop will end with the opportunity for you to share the body of work you've created in a supportive group reflection and feedback session.
There will be a 45min lunch break at 1pm. Please bring a packed lunch.
